Our goals

Our foundation strives to support the domestic practice of electrical engineering through its activities. The foundation’s main objectives are outlined in its founding charter:

  • Dissemination of scientific culture and knowledge in electrotechnics,
  • Enhancing, developing, and supporting electrotechnical engineering education, research, and communication,
  • Supporting the publication of electrotechnical engineering books, notes, informational materials, and other publications,
  • Organizing and supporting events aimed at providing or continuing electrotechnical engineering education, as well as facilitating participation in them,
  • Issuing, evaluating, and awarding professional competitions,
  • Supporting electrotechnical engineers in need,
  • Promoting the profession and science, and supporting their popularization,
  • Teaching and researching human-centered electrical engineering,
  • Developing environmentally friendly and eco-conscious products and technologies,
  • Developing and applying environmental protection technologies,
  • Investigating, researching, and mitigating harmful electrical effects on humans (e.g., the negative effects of electric fields),
  • Supporting the academic opportunities and work of students at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), primarily those taught by the High Voltage Technology and Equipment Department at the time of foundation, now known as the High Voltage Technology and Equipment Group of the Department of Electric Power Engineering, and modernizing teaching methods based on the professional requirements set by the founders and affiliates for young electrical engineers.
